Whip

v. the act of being propelled forward by a teammate

Whip It!

Sometimes all you need is a quick shot of momentum to move you forward.

That’s where the “whip” comes in – but no, it’s not a whipping, which uses pain to push you forward.

I’m referring to a move in Roller Derby called the “whip” – one skater reaches out to another, allowing the other to grab hold and, spinning around, she “whips” the other skater forward. The skater who’s received the whip is propelled forward by the first skater’s momentum.

It’s a fairly simple concept, and extremely useful.

What it's for

These sessions can be used for whatever you need. For instance;

  • If you’re feeling blocked on a project
  • Or maybe you’re not really blocked, but it’s taking way longer than you want it to
  • If you have no idea what to do next
  • Or you know what to do, but you just aren’t sure how (or for some reason keep putting it off)

What you get

  • 75 minutes of glorious momentum-building via phone or Skype
  • An mp3 recording so you can go back over the best moments (and so you don’t have to spend the entire time madly taking notes)
  • Momentum! (of course)

Total Cost: $250

This is perfect for you if...

  • You need help with a specific project (like finishing your website, or writing your book proposal)
  • You’re ready to dig in and do the work
  • You’re willing to face the shitty stories that might be holding you back

Probably not for you if...

  • You need help on a major goal (like writing the entire book, or building a business from scratch*)
  • You just want a “quick fix” that won’t actually take any work on your part
  • You’d be horribly offended at the use of four-letter words (I don’t swear much, but it does happen from time to time)

* Need help on a larger goal? That’s what the Alembic is for. You can learn more about it here.

Answers to your Questions

What if I'm not sure what project I need help with?

If you're feeling completely discombobulated and unable to focus, that's most likely the "project" you need help with most.

Having clarity (and a solid plan of action) is key to moving forward in your business. Gather your ideas, and together we'll sort them out so you have that solid plan of action... and the momentum to move you forward.

Can we really figure this out in just over an hour?

The truth is, most problems we face aren't nearly as complicated as we think they are... we're just really good at finding ways to make them seem more difficult. (No judgment, it's just human nature... and I promise, I do it to myself too!)

Once we break down the problem into bite-sized chunks - and take out the twisty stories that are obscuring the answers - you'll be surprised to find how quickly we really CAN come up with a solution.

What if I need more than one Whip It! session?

If your problem is a bit bigger than a single session can fix - but not quite big enough for the Alembic - we may be able to put together a multi-session package.

Just drop me a line via email, and we'll work something out!

Do you offer a guarantee?

I can't guarantee specific results - too much of the outcome depends on you, and the work you do.

What I do guarantee is that I will do everything in my power to make sure that you get both your money and your time's worth. My goal is to give you the tools and information you need to at least make back what you've invested... if not more!

Heidi helped me recognize that my previous business model was not sustainable because there was no room for rest. There was a magical moment when suddenly I was just less afraid and started interacting with my business in ways that had intimidated me before. Working with her, there was a shift from almost complete avoidance to even some enjoyment when focusing on my business.

Heidi helped me feel safe, despite the fact that overcoming anxiety and uncertainty are challenges for me.  I believe she would be very successful working with others who share those challenges.   Working with her, I felt more empowered and comfortable branching out.

My main concern before working with Heidi was not being sure I would make a good connection with a coach. I was nervous that I wouldn’t like or would be intimidated by this ‘unknown person’.

I learned how valuable it is to voice my doubts out loud and seeing what can come from that. Heidi is incredibly helpful with her advice and together we came up with a plan that I really, really loved!

Heidi is definitely great with people who have issues with clarity. I would recommend her to anyone who has a million things going on, but is undecided about what course of action to take or what to prioritize in their lives.

Initially I wanted help finding the lighter, more playful and fun Amy. What I found with Heidi was an amazing story about dark and light, self-sacrifice and many old, stuck patterns. Together, we also found a vast system of protection and safety that I often forget to invoke. Heidi’s promptings helped me dig and find them.

Heidi is insightful and has a firm grasp of coaching. At the end of our sessions, I felt clearer and able to see and imagine a lighter me. Heidi helped me find the fragile parts of self and start a conversation that will lead to deep healing and lightness.

A little bit about me...

As a working mother of two young boys, I haven't got time (or energy) to waste on anything that doesn't give good ROI*. And I have no patience for anything that won't give my clients good ROI either. As far as I'm concerned, that's just good business.

(*Not up on the biz lingo? No worries, ROI stands for "return on investment" - an important concept, 'cause we aren't in business to go broke!)
